What is Bird Banding? | Smithsonian's National Zoo

RESCHEDULED: The weather on the original date (Saturday, January 7) was too cold to safely bird band, so we rescheduled it to the following week (Saturday, January 14).

 

Join the Beaver Creek bird banders for a morning of bird banding. This is a great opportunity to see some of the birds that visit the Reserve’s feeders up close and personal. Learn about bird identification, bird behavior, what to feed birds and why we band them. Join us.
