
Northern Saw-whet Owl Banding Training

Are you a night owl?
Join our Owl Banding Training and become part of our Northern Saw-whet Owl banding crew!
During training, you will learn how we capture, safely handle, band and measure these fascinating nocturnal migrants.
Whether you want to help with capturing, measuring or recording data there is a volunteer role for every comfort level and interest.
Owl banding takes place throughout October, several nights a week: from roughly 6:00 pm to midnight, (exact times vary during the season)
Help us contribute to important research and get a rare, up-close look at these amazing owls!
New volunteers must commit to a minimum of one night a week throughout the banding season.
Please bring a brown bag dinner for the training.
Registration and full payment required by October 2nd.

Cost: Members and Non-members $80 and Students $40
Ages 18 and up
Walk-ins will not be accepted.
