In 2017 a large donation from Don and Leatrice Mathison allowed Beaver Creek Reserve to make substantial improvements to our campus.  

With the parking lot expansion came the opportunity to re-landscape the front of the Wise Nature Center. To honor their life and legacy, the Don and Leatrice Mathison Memorial Walkway was added directly in front of the Nature Center. This walkway connects the Nature Center with the North Campus and is now ADA compliant. In our previous campaigns, over 150 families have honored loved ones with 176 bricks along the Memorial Walkway.

This is your opportunity to purchase a brick in memory or honor of a loved one, or to recognize special occasions like a birthday, anniversary, or other milestone. 

If you are interested in participating, simply complete the following forms by May 31, 2025.  Any proceeds from the purchase of the engraved stones will be used to improve and maintain surrounding gardens, purchase additional picnic tables, and to fund areas that help us achieve our mission of connecting people with nature.
