Virtually join Reserve naturalist Ruth Forsgren on Facebook Live, as she prowls around the nature center listening for the neighborhood owls. This is the time of year that our Barred and Great Horned Owls begin nesting and claiming territories and can be quite vocal during this process. We’ll learn what the owls sound like and then follow Ruth as she listens on trails around the nature center. This is a virtual only program, but you will be able to then go out in your own neighborhood and listen to see if you have any of these nocturnal hunters in the area.
