Guided Bird Walk: Christmas Bird Count
Dec. 20th 9:00am-11:00am
Join a Beaver Creek naturalist on a short bird walk at Beaver Creek Reserve as part of the Christmas Bird Count (CBC) for a fun morning identifying and counting birds. Bring your curiosity, hiking boots, and binoculars if you have them! Binoculars will be available to borrow from the nature center. This program is weather dependent, and may be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.
Ages 8+. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
The Christmas Bird Count is a long-standing program of the National Audubon Society, with over 100 years of citizen science involvement. It is an early-winter bird census, where thousands of volunteers across the US, Canada and many countries in the Western Hemisphere, go out over a 24-hour period to count birds.
This program is free to attend
Walk-ins will not be accepted
