Foraging for Wild Edibles

Date: Saturday, April 29, 2023
Time: 9:30 AM–12:00 PM
Join Beaver Creek Naturalist Jim Schwiebert for a look ahead to the foraging season. We’ll look at a PowerPoint presentation of plants to eat throughout the year, then take a hike and look for some common, easily-identified, wild edible plants. We’ll nibble a few things as we hike, and then sample some cooked greens and a wild beverage or two! A list of some plants, and a few mushrooms, to try and their use will be provided. Come and join us for a taste from the wild!
