Earth Party!

This year, celebrate Earth Day at our Earth Party! Start the morning off with our bird banding team and learn about the process of banding birds. After, follow a trail scavenger hunt, explore the nature center, make a sustainable craft, build a Bluebird House, and end the day with an Earth Day-themed sweet treat! 

Attend our Bird Banding Demonstration (7:45-9:00 AM)! Join us at the Beaver Creek Reserve banding station for a demonstration on the techniques and benefits of bird banding in avian conservation. Please register in advance!

Visit our Voyageur Cabin from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM and learn the rich history of the French-Ojibwe fur trade in the Chippewa valley! No registration needed, learn more.

Learn about fire safety with Township Fire Department (11:00 AM-2:00 PM)! Join us for a short presentation on prescribed burns, and then head outside to see a fire truck do a water spraying demonstration and a fire extinguisher demonstration. Learn more!

Build Bluebird houses with us! Pay $15 for the Bluebird house kit, all the tools and supplies needed to build, and instruction! Please register in advance. Bluebird house building will be open-house style, come anytime from 12:00-3:00 PM. Please register in advance!
