Last year, we hosted our first-ever “Pollinator Fun Run/Walk” on Earth Day. Teams ran or walked the trails at Beaver Creek and spread native plant seeds along designated planting stations. Because this event was such a hit, we decided to grow it even further and host this year’s “Earth Day Walk”! Instead of promoting just pollinators, we’ll be promoting all things sustainability. From a self-guided walk along our trails to learn about plants, wildlife, and pollinators, to making sustainable seed starters, learning about composting and recycling, and ending the day with a dirt cup and butterfly nectar (Oreo pudding with gummy worms, and pink lemonade).
We’ll be spending Earth Day with fellow “eco-champions” to learn more about what we can do to support our planet.
This is not a timed walk, participants may arrive anytime between 1-4pm to walk the self-guided trail. Participants will receive an Earth Day t-shirt for completing the walk!
Cost: Members $15 & Nonmembers $20 (includes Earth Day shirt), $10/person for no shirt
T-shirts for walk-ins or shirts sold at the event will be first-come-first-served!
Access Ability Wisconsin has graciously loaned us an all-terrain wheelchair. This event is a great opportunity to use the chair.
Please follow this link to register for the use of the all-terrain wheelchair.

Rain Plan
In case of rain or bad weather that would inhibit us from doing the walk outside, we will still host the event on April 22 from 1:00-4:00 PM, with indoor-only activities (you can still participate in your own walk before the end of the month to share a photo with our photo contest). Registrants can still pick up their t-shirts at the Wise Nature Center during the event.
There will be raffle prizes available for those who attend.
The decision will be made by 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
