Earth Day: Bird Banding Demonstration
Celebrate Earth Day by discovering how bird banding helps us monitor and protect our bird populations.
Join us at the Beaver Creek Reserve banding station for a demonstration on the techniques and benefits of bird banding in avian conservation.
Observe as permitted banders identify birds, measure wings and check for molt in some of our most common feathered visitors.
You’ll have the chance to see birds like the Black-capped Chickadee, Downy Woodpecker, and White-breasted Nuthatch up close while learning about bird conservation.
This is a free program
All ages are welcome
Location: Wise Nature Center at Beaver Creek Reserve in the Woodland Room.
Walk-ins will not be accepted.
