Thursday – Saturday, April 30-May 2nd
Thursday, April 30 from 5pm-8:30pm ,Friday, May 1st from 6am-3:30pm and Saturday, May 2nd from 6am-1pm
This fun and engaging course has been designed specifically for beginners who want to learn more about birds and take the next step in birding.
This 2-½ day course will combine classroom lectures, field trips, group lessons and hands-on activities to give you a full learning experience.
Topics will include basics of bird behavior, migration, ecology, bird banding and identification.
Participants will learn how to identify birds using size, shape, plumage, and other field marks, how to identify birds songs and tricks to identify their songs, and what they can do to help protect birds and their habitats.
This is a wonderful opportunity to join other new birders and grow your bird identification and conservation skills.

Cost: Members $100, Nonmembers $130 and Students $55
Ages 16 and up. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
