Bird Banding 101

Are you interested in becoming part of Beaver Creek Reserve’s Bird Banding Crew?
Join us for an introduction to bird banding.
Participants will learn techniques to capture, hold, band, and take measurements of birds.
Various opportunities allow volunteers to find the role that they are most comfortable.
Training includes information on Beaver Creek’s Avian Monitoring Program, benefits of bird banding, bird identification, and banding safety.
Banding occurs weekly on Tuesday mornings. This training is specifically for Beaver Creek’s Banding Program. This is a 2-day program.
For ages 18 and up
